One to one dog training is the perfect way to have dedicated training at a time that's convenient to you. In our hour long one to one sessions, you will have our undivided attention on your dogs issue or goal, with a personalised written action plan afterwards. One to One training is also good if your dog struggles with a class environment around other dogs, being great for building confidence and skills. Many dogs can move on into class environments afterwards, depending on your goal.
All of our One to One training is structured around you and your dog and their individual needs. So whether this is a behavioural issue, general obedience, or confidence, we are able to tailor your session specific to you.
As well as our one to one training sessions, we also have a dedicated reactivity program. These are aimed at dealing with and supporting you through all of the issues surrounding reactivity. So if you have a dog that lunges and barks at other dogs, people or objects, our reactivity training will help you to help them stay calm.
Our reactivity program starts with a dedicated one to one session where we'll assess your dogs specific reactivity challenges and create a clear initial action plan. We'll discuss your goals and the opportunity of joining our supported reactivity walks, once you and your dog are ready.
With a strong focus on positive reinforcement, we help you to recognise your dogs triggers, helping them to become more comfortable around them. You'll receive personalised support to help you move forward, with a dog that's more confidently engaged.
At Debbie's Dog Training Centre, we understand how challenging, frustrating, and sometimes isolating life can be with a reactive dog. So our Reactivity Support Walks are designed to help you and your dog build confidence, skills, and understanding together, out in the real world, with real support.
This is not about judgement or quick unreliable fixes. It's about guidance, community, and steady progress made together.
Reactivity training, using positive reinforcement is not about quick fixes, it's more about patience and trust and building reliability and a stronger communication between you and your dog. We give you a system you'll need to practice consistently, one with rewards and lots of praise. But it does take time, training and lots of commitment on your part. And the results will speak for themselves!
