upcoming Junior Adult courses

Our Junior/Adult training course is a great skills builder course to help you with both focus and to understand your dog a little better!

This course is designed as a refresher or for building on the skills you may already have. So if it's all gone a little wrong and you're experiencing a few difficulties with your dogs attention, or perhaps they've just stopped listening, this course will help you address those issues. As a problem solving tool, it'll also help you if your dog has just entered adolescence too, which can be very challenging!

So if you're having problems with recall, or lead walking, or you have an adolescent tearaway, our Junior/Adult course will give you the skills to put it right. All in a fun environment, with experienced trainers who'll support you every step of the way. 

• Recall (coming back when called) - Gain focus and more control in difficult environments where your dog may be distracted.

• Reliable sit, down and stand positions - Build on the basics to achieve a reliable and stable position when asked.

• Greeting people calmly and politely (not jumping up) - Being respectful and calm when meeting new people and visitors.

• Stay/wait - Great manners which can be applied to any number of real life situations.

• Handling and grooming - Positive skills that can really help with vet visits, claw clipping and overall confident handling. 

• Loose lead walking/walking with you - Helping your dog to be calm and confident on the lead, learn how to prevent pulling and reduce stress.

• Leave it - Teaching, or building on the "leave it" command, a very important requirement for the safety of your dog.

• Play - Learning how to have lots of fun with your dog in a very positive way.

• Impulse control and listening around distractions - Teaching your dog to settle calmly and recognising the triggers that cause unwanted behaviours.

Duration - 6 week course

Class length - 1 hour of training with a 30 minute coffee and Q&A session afterwards
