We're here to make life with your dog the most amazing life it can be! By offering a range of dog training courses, one to ones and workshops that give you just what you're looking for when you need it most. Oh and we've also got a fabulously fun dog swimming pool too! So we're the complete package for training and having fun with your dog. So if you've just got a new puppy, or you're looking for training to deal with the dreaded adolescence, we can definitely help.
As we're all about motivation and fun, our training methods here at Debbie's Dog Training Centre are all reward based and recognise the requirements of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), of which we are a member. Also known as positive reinforcement, reward based training is a method that focuses on encouraging good behaviours. Rewarding a desired behaviour, will encourage your dog to repeat it and associate it with positive outcomes every time.
Our team is friendly, knowledgeable, and always passionate about helping dogs and their owners. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that both dogs and their owners feel comfortable and supported throughout the training process. The team consists of Debbie, who is the founder and owner, Andi who is a trainer and administrator/marketing and Emma who helps support with all the swimming fun! Plus Alan and Dave who work hard in the background to keep our venue and pool, looking great and running properly.
Debbie is a professional dog trainer with nearly 20 years of experience in both training and behaviour. So has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. She is also an APDT member (membership no. 01026) and always trains using a reward based approach. But with Debbie, there's always lots of fun thrown in there too! She believes that

All of our beautiful flowers, pots and ornaments (if you've not seen our yard, you need to come along!), are Alan's handiwork. And Christmas here is like Santas grotto too! Alan is also responsible for our amazing cakes, for both parties and our Jo Hill days, so he definitely brings something extra special to the team.
Dave (husband of Andi!) supports Alan with maintenance and generally keeping the site running smoothly. He is an engineer in his other job! and uses this experience to troubleshoot any problems that come along. He is also on hand to help with our pool parties and other celebrations.
As you can imagine, our work as trainers is actually far more than just a job as it crosses over into everything we do. Especially when it comes to our own dogs. So as they’re such an important part of our lives, we thought you’d love to me our fabulous team of dogs too!!
This is Sonny who is one of Debbie’s gorgeous Collies. He is three and currently in training for competitive obedience. Sonny is a bit of a character and definitely one of Debbie’s most mischievous dogs. His most favourite thing is his ball and he just loves to go in the barn and train.
This is Breeze who’s another of Debbie’s collies. Breeze is 5 and also in training for competitive obedience. His most favourite thing ever, is his tuggy!! Which he plays with, with enthusiasm. He’s a big softy and just loves to play out in the paddock with his friends.
Colin, one of Andi’s dogs, is an 8 year old Boxer. He’s a larger than life character who loves to be involved in everything! he particularly likes looking in through the barn and watching the classes, whenever he gets chance! Colin also takes part as a stooge dog for our reactivity sessions, where he helps nervous, or excitable dogs cope
